SCHOOL TRIP TO NEW JERSEY

From the 19th to the 27th of May, a group of students from the first year of Bachillerato participated in an amazing school exchange programme with American students from New Jersey. Our students were hosted by American families. They treated them as family members, involving them in activities, excursions and household chores. By staying with friendly host families, our students could improve their communicative skills, and at the same time know their culture as part of a totally immersive experience.
We would like to thank the American families and the students and staff from Pascack Valley and Pascack Hills High School for their hospitality.

The Brooklyn Bridge, built between 1869 and 1883, connects Manhattan with New York's most populous borough, Brooklyn. The bridge is one of the most famous and magnificent landmarks in New York City.

Central Park is New York’s largest urban park and one of the biggest in the world, with 843 acres. This park is home to artificial lakes, waterfalls, meadows and wooded areas. You will also find the Central Park Zoo, among other attractions in this greenspace of New York.
Times Square, the most bustling square of New York is known for its many Broadway theatres, cinemas and electronic billboards. It is one of those places that make New York a city that never sleeps.
Fearless Girl is a bronze sculpture by Kristen Visbal, depicting a girl facing the Charging Bull (or Wall Street Bull) statue. Fearless Girl is meant to "send a message" about workplace gender diversity and encourage companies to recruit women to their boards. The plaque below the statue states: "Know the power of women in leadership. SHE makes a difference"
