"Death by haircut": A theatre play in English.

Our first and second year E.S.O. students travelled to Madrid to attend a theatre play in English language called Death by haircut.

The flamboyant hairdresser Sweeney Todd owns a barber shop on Fleet Street, in the centre of London. His speciality is punk haircuts… this is the 1970’s, rock and roll! One day, he has an unexpected customer: the Queen of England. But whilst Sweeney is cutting her hair, there is a nasty accident and the Queen dies. Sweeney doesn’t know what to do with the body, until the local hot-dog vendor, Mrs Lovett, has a horrific idea…

Enter the detective Shirley Holmes, granddaughter of the legendary Sherlock’s, and her intelligent assistant Dr. Watson, to investigate the Queen’s disappearance. They suspect and question Sweeney Todd. They find the Queen’s scarf and handbag inside the barber shop, but nobody. Sweeney is frightened: it was an accident and he doesn’t want to go to jail. But Mrs Lovett has a plan to get rid of the detectives…
