Workshop on Paleontology

Some of the students who visited our school could attend the workshop on Paleontology. Students from 4th ESO taught us in English the periods in the evolution of living things: The Palaeozoic era, The Mesozoic era and The Cenozoic era.

At the end of their presentation, they showed us some authentic fossils that were classified according to the different stages of evolution. We could see and touch a trigonia, an ammonite as well as a shark tooth.

   

 

Our students visit their former schools

Our pupils have recently visited their former schools. They used the occasion to show their power point presentations and talk about their experience at high school. It was a chance to see their old teachers and friends.

After their presentations, students were asked some questions about their experience at high school. We discussed the advantages of starting this new stage.

Christmas cards from Italy

The first week of January we received some Christmas cards from a secondary school in Narcao, Italy. Our students exchanged the Christmas cards that had designed with some Italian students from the Istituto Compresivo in Narcao. We would like to thank the English teacher Carla Senis for this friendly collaboration. We hope we could take part in more projects.

El Túnel del Terror. Los alumnos de 3º de PMAR decoraron una de las aulas a modo de túnel del terror con la supervisión de la profesora Leyre Pérez Quiroz. Participación en el acto contra la violencia de género en el centro cívico de la localidad, organizado por el centro de la mujer. Christmas Cards & Advent Calendar Contests

As every year, students from 1º and 2º of ESO have taken part in the traditional Christmas Cards Contest, organised by the French and English Departments. Our Students have displayed their creativity to wish us Merry Christmas. Most of these cards have been sent to a group of students from a secondary school in Narcao, Italy.

Additionally, new this year has been the Advent Calendar Competition for students from 3º and 4º of ESO, organised as well by the French and English Departments.

Pancakes: A bite of American culture.

     This term, we have learnt how to cook pancakes. The American student, Ryen, taught  how to make this traditional flat cake. According to the original recipe, dry and liquid ingredients must be mixed in different bowls.  

 Pancakes may be served at any time, specially at breakfast, with a variety of toppings and fillings.

Jack-o´- lanterns contest - And the winners are...

Lidia, Hanne, Paula and Beatriz, from 1st ESO, designed the most creative and artistic pumpkin.
